The Super Mario Movie.

The Super Mario Bros. movie is a timeless classic from my childhood. Watching the film was always so much fun for me; I never wanted the movie to end.

Released in 1993, it starred Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo as Mario and Luigi, two Brooklyn-based plumbers who find themselves in an alternate reality of dinosaurs and an evil tyrant named King Koopa.

I remember being fascinated by the radical change in setting from their normal world to this mysterious other land they were sent to.

The movie also featured some of my favorite characters from the game like Toad, Yoshi, Princess Daisy, and even Bowser! It was really exciting to see these characters come alive onscreen with actors portraying them.

The special effects used for certain sequences was amazing for its time too; like when Mario and Luigi are going through portals or running away from giant rocks!

The Super Mario Bros. movie is filled with iconic heroes and villains that have stood the test of time. The protagonists, Mario and Luigi, played by Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo respectively, are two goofy Italian-American plumbers who find themselves in an alternate universe parallel to their own.

Despite the fact that they are faced with a daunting task – rescuing Princess Daisy from the evil King Koopa – they always remain courageous throughout the adventure and embrace their roles as heroes.

On the other side of the coin is King Koopa, portrayed by Dennis Hopper in a deliciously villainous performance, he rules over this alternate universe with an iron fist as he attempts to rid it of humans in order to create a new world for his lovable minions.
